Excited to have met Q Place!

Excited to have met Q Place!

As a seasoned Christian, I have heard many a message derived from Matthew 28:19-20 where Jesus tells us to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you….” Not only have I heard the scripture, but I have also read it several times, and, without equivocation, I truly believe it, as it is the Great Commission; however, I must admit that I have not been as proactive as I should be in fulfilling this...Read more …
Start the Party!

Start the Party!

What a rich, rich, Easter weekend. It started on Good Friday night when we pondered the wood of the Cross, on which was hung the world’s salvation. On Saturday, we watched a joyous festival of art, music and theatre that took us through the stories of the Old Testament that point to Christ, our Savior. Then on Sunday our family gathered with friends at a 6AM service to exclaim and proclaim, “Christ is RISEN! He has RISEN INDEED!” And just like we had experienced before, this all-out worship party was complete with baptisms, dancing, Holy Communion and ringing the bells....Read more …

On the Radio – Walk the Way

This is Walk the Way, brought to you by Q Place, I’m Jeff Klein. In the midst of the flashing lights, blaring music and hype of the convention, the cross that lay on the center of the stage with a single candle on it, stood out, calling out to everyone in the arena. I had just spoken to students at a youth conference but I knew that my words were an inadequate substitute for what they could only experience if they’d spend time dealing with the cross. The cross of Christ calls out: begging us to understand what Jesus did...Read more …
Once and for all.

Once and for all.

“Jesus was crushed so that God could end this sin problem once and for all. This was God’s most loving act: to offer His only Son for a people who would never adequately be able to love Him back…providing our way back to the Father. God’s heart was broken twice—we broke it first, then He broke it again—on purpose—to repair the relationship that we had fractured. God’s resolve and Jesus’ sacrifice remade our relationship with our Creator and Father. And that’s what we’ll remember this weekend.” Jeff Klein is Q Place’s National Field Director and he is host of Walk the...Read more …
Why walk to the cross?

Why walk to the cross?

The movie The Way is a powerful and inspirational story about family, friends and the challenges faced while navigating an ever-changing and complicated world. Martin Sheen plays Tom, an agitated, easily irritated American doctor who comes to France to deal with the tragic loss of his son. But rather than return home, Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage “The Way of St. James” to honor what was his son’s desire to finish that same journey. Yet Tom has no idea about the profound impact this trip will have on him. Cynical about faith, he has always been a...Read more …

On the Radio – Walk the Way

This is Walk the Way, brought to you by Q Place, I’m Jeff Klein. The story of Israel is the story of God delivering His people from slavery and offering them a new life in the Promised Land. But at the border, God’s people face a decision: Take take full possession of the life He has for them and leave their old one behind once and for all, or not? But despite the assurance of His presence, the people respond, No Thanks. We’re too scared; we’re not sure. We actually like Egypt and slavery better. What was holding them back?...Read more …

It’s Okay…relax! It’s a Q Place!

“Oh! The Bible!? I don’t like the Bible!” These were the words spoken by a woman who came to my Trial Meeting. A Q Place Trial Meeting is the first meeting of a Q Place, where participants get to experience the group for the first time. It’s literally a trial—any potential participant can “try a Q Place” risk free, with no expectation to return. When the woman blurted out her remark, we all could’ve heard a pin drop. But because of my Q Place training, I knew questions were the best way to respond. So, I asked the woman, “Can...Read more …

On the Radio – Walk the Way

This is Walk the Way, brought to you by Q Place, I’m Jeff Klein. And I’m Pam Klein. In 2004, former Hollywood filmmaker, Scott Adam, and his wife, Jean, set sail on a custom-made yacht to take the Word of God, specifically Bibles, to remote corners of the world. Scott’s love of the sea would help him spread the love of His Lord. And despite inherent dangers the couple embarked with their cargo – Bibles in many of the world’s languages so that they could: “seek fertile ground for the Word and homes for our Bibles.” For seven years they...Read more …
The Tyranny of Distraction

The Tyranny of Distraction

How full is your DVR? I’m always fighting with mine. If I ever get below 50%, I get so excited. But, two weeks later, it’s right back to warning me that it might be too full. (If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, ask a friend!) “Are you sure you want to record this?” it asks me. “Maybe you should get some shows off me and come back?” it says, with a wink. Who are you to shame me for my addiction, DVR? You, who are my primary enabler? You, who keep enticing me with your easy...Read more …
