On the Radio – Walk the Way

This is Walk The Way, brought to you by Q Place, I’m Jeff Klein.

Yesterday, many of us sat around a table to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Michael Hebb – an entrepreneur and activist – has made an entire career around doing so.

Pointing out that eating together is a vanishing ritual in our culture, replaced by fast food, drive through windows, and eating alone, Hebb travels the world, sharing a dinner table with everyone he meets, encouraging them to do the same.

He believes eating together at the table can change the world.

Long before, Jesus seemed to get this, too.

He ate together with Pharisees, dined with Matthew and his friends, and had a final meal with His disciples the night before His death.

It seems that eating together breaks down barriers and renews relationships.

Maybe that’s why the Kingdom of Heaven is often portrayed as a great banquet.

So post-Thankgiving and as you head into the Christmas season, remember the power of the table as you share the Gospel.

How can you use your table to change the world?

Tell us on facebook.com/walktheway.
